Total Nigeria has partnered with Ecobank to improve the m-payment solutions offered to customers across Nigeria.
Ecobank will be using Total’s network coverage and strategically located stations as Ecobank Xpress Points to provide a full bouquet of mobile money services for 400 stations in the coming years.
An initial batch of these Ecobank Xpress Points have commenced operations in 100 stations. Services offered include Cash-out Transactions, Money Transfer, Bill Payments, New Account Openings and Cash-In transactions.
Customers stand to benefit from this partnership by having additional payment methods for goods and services, including SFS activity using QR Code technology – alternative to bank POS & cash, enhanced cash management, especially with the re-introduction of the CBN cashless policy. This service will aid in reducing cash levels and the corresponding charges that would otherwise have been borne as a result.
The transacting stations also stand to earn an increased revenue.
