The African Union is finding its way to help Mali republic move forward. A donation of 20 vehicles has been made to the Mali ministry of interior and security.
Pierre Buyoya, Head of the African Union Mission in Mali and the Sahel (MISAHEL), handed over to Mr. Sada Samake, Minister of Interior and Security, a first batch of thirteen vehicles, Monday July 4, 2014 in the country.
The first part of the donation is wealth 481,642,430 CFA francs. It includes thirteen pick-up vans, four ambulances and three trucks.
This donation according to the UA communication service, will contribute to strengthening the capacity of the Malian defense and security forces.
In addition to the support being rendered to the security sector, MISAHEL and the other relevant AU structures are to continue to assist Mali in other equally important areas, such as the inter-Malian inclusive dialogue and national reconciliation.
