Le gouvernement togolais semble faire une bonne promotion du genre. Victoire Tomegah est nommée premier ministre. Deuxième femme, et Sandra Johnson nommée Secrétaire général de la présidence.
C’est par décret présidentiel que ces nominations de femmes à des postes de responsabilité sont intervenues. Ceci fait suite à la démission du premier ministre sortant Selom Klassou.
Ablamba Sandra Johnson était jusqu’à nomination, Ministre Délégué, Conseillère du Chef de l’Etat, en Charge du Climat des affaires à la Présidence de la République.
Victoire Dogbe Tomegah, précédemment Directrice de cabinet à la présidence, devient la première femme à la Primature au Togo.
Avant ces deux femmes, Yawa Tségan est portée au perchoir à l’Assemblée nationale.
